32To be fair, if Miku wants to be in the photo, it's not like I or anyone else is going to tell her noGuyLaCroix wrote:You're just flexing the Miku Stomp.
(also it's that feedbacker on the left that by far gets the most love of any of them, still need to try the new one...)

Re: Your favourite overdrive
34The sound and concept of this remind me a lot of the Walrus Audio Messner. Which sounded pretty darn awesome but had a touch too little drive at maxDr Tony Balls wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:05 am Current favorite (because I just finished up a new batch of them): https://ballseffects.com/distortion/professor/
And I’m typically all about overdrives with the gain/distortion in the bottom quarter of their range. I probably should have kept it, because I bet I’d really love that Messner now.

35BD2 is never a bad choice!andyman wrote: Tue Mar 12, 2024 11:29 am As a mild overdrive? Not just for lead?
I was actually considering pulling the trigger on a BD-2.
Re: Your favourite overdrive
36I have the Catalinbread SFT preamp on my board. I don't think about it very much, but it is a very good clean-ish OD that has just a shit-ton of gain on hand. I use it as a bass-boost.
Re: Your favourite overdrive
38I feel I'm letting the side down, but I couldn't get on with the BD2. I found it too bright and too, erm, I want to use the term "processed"? It sounded kinda false to me. Never edge of break up - always over that edge.

39+1 And even better, the Alpha Omega (a few more bells and whistles).bassdriver wrote: Sun Mar 10, 2024 12:49 pm tried a lot of overdrives on bass. love the Darkglass Alpha Omicron !
Re: Your favourite overdrive
40Anyway, I've tried the Hot Cake, on a non-Vox amp. It was very good on the edge, or just past the edge of breakup. But at full gain, it was just too wooly/not defined enough.
