For over a week I've been listening to "Obeah Wedding" from John Surman because it makes me happy bobbing heads tapping toes and such. His pianist, Russell Henderson, is on fire from start to finish. I kept thinking, though, something like *in an offensive imitation of a Caribbean dialect* why for the white man to write about obeah? Well, because It's a cover by a Calypso artist named Mighty Sparrow and I've been vacillating between the two for days.

I'm into Calypso now.
