Okay off the back of FM Lu's Basketball thread I thought I'd start a Baseball one...

Full disclosure here, I am a newbie to baseball and feel like a bit of a tourist but after deciding to give watching some games a go I find it a fascinating game, incredibly deep and tactical.

I unfortunately decided to pick the White Sox as the team I would follow just before the season started... Probably shoulda picked the Yankees...

I'm here to learn so if there are deep, long term fans out there please share the wisdom.

I can say even as a casual fan (more like observer) that not picking the Yankees is the correct move. Pretty sure White Sox are the preferred team around these parts already so you'll be in good company

I'm sorry you are following the White Sox, who are my team but are also the worst team in the majors right now.

I'm watching the Dodgers way more than anyone else. They're West Coast so they're on TV late, I love Ohtani and Betts (both early faves for MVP), and there's no one on the team that bothers me.
