Instead of burying a gang of exciting local bands in a disparate thread let's group them here and show some love.

If you're into Yr Knives then you might be aware of Black Duck and BCMC.

Bitchin Bajas. Mint Mile.

Local agitators Taste Rubber (Jeff Goulet, Mark Shippy, Abe Collins & Sam Robinson) and Imelda Marcos will be playing with Sexual Jeremy (Austin TX) this Sunday at Sleeping Village.

Experimentalist Neal Markowski

Djunnah, Paper Mice, Stuck, Heet Deth, and meth. for gnarled, knotty, hellish noise rock and post punk.

Kara Jackson, Kaina, Sen Morimoto, Nnamdï and the Sooper Records crew.

Bussy Kween Power Trip black queer punk rippers

Horsegirl, Lifeguard, Dwaal Troupe, & Friko underground noisepop, punk, pop and weirdo pop. (FM Owen when/if you see this ask Dwaal Troupe wtf is up and when will they be releasing another record)

Divino Niño pushes all of the hazy and gorgeous dreampop buttons. Balthazar de Ley from Menthol, and Balthazar Audio Systems is now playing with local shoegazers Lightfoils.

Tijuana Hercules, Small Awesome, Nonagon, and Stomatopod, Future Living, and Weaklung are active bands comprised of forum members that immediately come to mind and demand your attention.

I'm playing with some new/old folks and hope to have something playable for you later this year or early next.

I know I've forgotten a lot and am unaware of others so please promote, add yourselves, and your local favorites.
Justice for Qaadir and Nazir Lewis, Emily Pike, Sam Nordquist, Randall Adjessom, Javion Magee, Destinii Hope, Kelaia Turner, Dexter Wade and Nakari Campbell

Dwaal Troupe is on hiatus, my cousin who is co-head-dude, went to college in New York and the rest of the band stayed here in Chicago (and got busy being in Lifeguard and The Sharp Pins), but I dont think he liked it out there, so who knows.

He had/has a new project called Deerest Friends with a some of the same people that he put out last year.
