One of these guys.

I have an ampeg g20 that fits this bill but I think they're a little more on the rare-side.defendyachtrock wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2024 2:16 pm 2x10 tube guitar combo amp that takes pedals well but could potentially roar on its own if dimed. Not looking for a ton of wattage, would probably be happy within the 18-25w range.
Don’t care about ‘verb or trem. Front-facing controls preferable. Ideally would be ~40lbs or lower.

Highly recommend the Peavey Delta Blues 30w, 2x10, black tweed, and sound pretty good. I have almost bought the 1x15 version a half dozen times.defendyachtrock wrote: 2x10 tube guitar combo amp that takes pedals well but could potentially roar on its own if dimed. All of the things I can think of under 25W are all 1x12. If I wanted this though, I’d have Dr Balls build me an AC30 style amp with 2 x 6V6GT instead of EL84, add a defeatable master volume, in a Vibrolux sized 2x10” cabinet.defendyachtrock wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2024 2:16 pm 2x10 tube guitar combo amp that takes pedals well but could potentially roar on its own if dimed. Another option, that's even a little cheaper, is the new-ish Fiio CP13:Teacher's Pet wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2024 5:19 pm Does anybody have any first-hand experience with these new cassette players?

One of my daughter's besties lost her dad when she was 5 (fuck cancer) and her mom had to evict her dad's box of cassettes when they moved.
I've kept them in storage ever since. I never knew the dude, but after I went through his tapes, I felt like I did.
She's 15 now, it's time to re-connect her with these tapes.
I don't want to give her a janky vintage boombox that will break and a component stereo/deck probably occupies too much space.
Any tips for an appropriate cassette player greatly appreciated...
i've had couple of Fiio MP3 players and they were all very good and feel nice in the hand. If this thing recorded I'd probably buy one.danielruder wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2024 8:00 pmAnother option, that's even a little cheaper, is the new-ish Fiio CP13:Teacher's Pet wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2024 5:19 pm Does anybody have any first-hand experience with these new cassette players?

No idea if it's good, but it caught my eye when it was released.
