We recorded our LP at Electrical in Studio B with Brian Fox in May. Mastered by Carl Saff and put on wax with Waxxy Poodle up in Wisconsin.
We are very proud of it and like it a lot. It is up for pre-order on bandcamp with the first "single" streaming now. Check it out, or dont.
Re: Weaklung Debut LP
2Well, I did! Great job. What was it like working with Waxxy Poodle? I would like to recklessly spend money on printing vinyl.
Re: Weaklung Debut LP
3So far so good.
It was more cost effective vs Smashed Plastic (which was where I figured I was going to do it); well, it's similar prices, but with WP I got to do fun color, a bit nicer jackets, etc.
They outsource the printing/jackets, but I think everything else is in house.
We ordered in Sept. I approved the Proofs for the jackets/labels end of Sept. I got 5 test presses early Nov. The test press sounded perfect and I was very happy about that. We are on schedule to get our records early Jan. So about a total of 4 months-ish. As long as the records actually show up before the release show, I'd fully recommend.
I did all the design and layout stuff and I am in no way a pro, and they made all that pretty easy for a person who is self-taught.
Thanks for listening!
