33Fuck yes it does! I have listened maybe 10 times in last few days. Firstly it’s Richard Dawson so it is great regardless, but then when you dig in it’s all the micro parts that make the feast - the storytelling and strange phrasing and excellent little codas and shifts - plus - warbling clarinet solos! Just an amazing record and up there with 2020. Boxing Day sales is probably my fave atm, but “the question “ is wonderful too.
If you want the full Dawson experience suss the 41 minute video for “ the hermit “ - on a tv, not a shitty phone… the guy has a lot to tell us…would love to see him live. Highly recommend all the other videos for the songs on the album - Polytunnel, gondola - worth yr time

38Nice. This is the piece I saw them play at Gonerfest last year. It was an amazing din. George Dishner's poor picking hand was bleeding by the end, he was digging in so hard.
