There aren't many better-sounding records than Selfless. It's pristine.
It's a good mix. I guess some people would be tempted to cut a little of the tinnitus sound out of the guitar, and some wouldn't, but it conveys what was coming out of the amp.

For clean 90s metal production I really like Morbid Angel's "Blessed are the Sick".

Odd choice, actually, I think it's the first time I've seen a positive comment on the sound of that record (which is actually a good pick for the thread, though it's far from ruined). I think it's the worst sounding MA record from their classic era, but one of their best musically.

See, I think Domination is the bad-sounding one. It suits some of the sludgy parts, but not the majority of the album.
