The first album is a speed/thrash banger. The Belladonna era is spotty, but had some gems. Ian might have been the tightest riffer in big thrash. NC.

Can't fuck with their run from Among The Living to Sound of White Noise (Persistence of Time was a bit weak though), I stopped paying attention to them after that

As a teenage metalhead who looked very non-metal I appreciated them for their stage clothes being their regular clothes when that was rare.

I loved them so much growing up. Everything up to and including AOTKBs. SOD were great and the hip hop crossover material channels an optimism that makes me very nostalgic. We were winning there for a bit.

Any band with a song about Judge Dredd can't be half bad.

Not Crap. I still have a huge affinity for Among the Living, but don't listen to much else of theirs at all. Of the thrash albums that I use to drive away squirrels on our roof, theirs is the least effective. It's well behind Death Angel's The Ultra-Violence and Slayer's Seasons In the Abyss. Probably because it's the most melodic. They were pretty great a few years back. Played all the hits, and didn't bother us much with the 'new' record.

when i was a kid we didn’t have cable but we had one VHS tape of one episode of Headbangers Ball on it. during the episode they showed a ten second clip of that video of that specific part and i was fascinated. i was like…ten? eleven? i couldn’t download it, i couldn’t hear it on the radio, how the fuck did i eventually hear the full song?

they did show the full video for Anti-Social though, so that was cool.
