Surprised this isnt front page news.
The whole world has stopped shipping small packages to the US in anticipation of this clusterfuck:
https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential ... countries/
Aug 29th is D-Day
Will shipped records fly under the radar as "gifts"/"informative material"?
Will you get doorstopped by the postman asking for an $80-$200 fee on that $1 7" you just bought online?
Let us know!
Non-US sellers on eBay/discogs etc seem to have all pretty much blocked the US as a sales destination. Welcome to global economic pariah status you dumb orange fuck. Stable genius indeed. Gilead-a-go-go.

2I’ve wondered whether there will be a backlash on this one. How many MAGAT shitheels are ordering goods from Temu? It has to be a lot.
This is what you get when you put a Twitter-addicted fuckwit in charge of the US.

3It ain't just Temu, though. Brick and mortar retailers, from mom-and-pop local businesses to rural fixtures like Dollar General, rely on smaller shipments of cheap imports.Wood Goblin wrote: Mon Aug 25, 2025 5:00 pm I’ve wondered whether there will be a backlash on this one. list of countries halting at least some shipments to the US compiled by reliable mensch metal.txt on bsky: South Korea, Singapore, Norway, Finland, Czechia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Italy, Poland
Edit: Japan Post just announced they're suspending shipments too.
I know I probably don't need to say it, but: It's not front-page news because our 4th Estate is dead, buried, moldered, congealed into petroleum, refined, barreled, burned, and fallen back to the dirt as acid rain

5I've got about 5 ebay/discogs orders in transit to the US from Japan. They may not make it there by Aug 29th.
I fully expect my US customers to tell their poor beleaguered postie to "send that shit back to Japan, I aint paying that dumb nazi fucks mafia shakedown tariff of $80 fucking dollars on a $20 record"
Things might get next level weird if PO workers have to determine tariffs based on point of manufacture.... for records. "Let's see, jacket made in Canada, pressed in Czech, or is this a repress, check the matrix indices......

6I was just about to buy a couple things from France. Fuck these stupid tariffs. Recession, ho!
I'd rather be throwing darts.

7Yeah, it was a news point here a couple of days ago.

Basically our post is suspending all the shipments with commercial value to the US. Only gifts are "available". But you should take caution because there is always a possibility that your customs will not believe that your package is a gift and they will declare it as a commercial shipment. They reserve that right.

Nothing major here. Just a regular EU cock. I pull it out and there is beans all over my penis. Bean shells all over my penis...

9Discogs sent out a message that said media is excluded from tariffs, so there's that.
"We understand you may have concerns about how tariffs and executive orders in the United States could impact your business on Discogs. Here’s everything we know about the situation so far.
US Tariffs Should Not Apply to Your Inventory on Discogs
Vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, and other recorded media should be exempt from any tariffs under US presidential executive order.
The executive order going into effect on August 29, 2025, removes a long-standing "de minimis" tariff exemption for most goods valued under USD $800. However, this change does not apply to "informational materials” like music media, which are still exempt from tariffs under US law 50 USC 1702(b)(3).
Simply put, music and informational media have always been exempt from tariffs and continue to be so at this time. This means neither sellers nor collectors on Discogs should be charged additional customs fees."
Of course, this means nothing if no one will ship to the USA.
