Yup, still living and being an absolute fascist monster. But she liked critters and was pretty so she got a pass…
Lolz I read a post on FizzBizz by Chrissie Hynde complaining that people are talking about her bigotry but forgetting "how much she did for the animals!"

One person said "I think you meant to keep this between you and Morrissey."

Adding the Pretenders to my list of "artists I will listen to exclusively through piracy," along with Morrissey and Burzum.

I think that's going on my Flying V (which is covered in stickers and paint marker). The best part is most hippie/fascists are boomers, and getting offended at stickers and goofy paint on a Gibson is peak boomer.

It is ridiculous to brand a 1970's breakout chick rock star as a fascist for critiquing a fashion magazine as two-faced when vilifying a dead fashion icon, even one as heinous as Bardot. Obviously Hynde admired Bardot's place in the sexual revolution - as anyone with a brain should admire "Tattooed Love Boys" et al for being highly sexual songs that are NOT simple pop tales of seduction - apparently to the point where she could ignore the post-fame, post-beauty diatribes by that racist cow that we've all grown to hate, myself included. That's a shame, but c'mon, in 2026 you have clear, definite signs of fascism, and Chrissie Hynde is not a representative of that.

She's also not a hippie wtf.

Pirate whatever music you want, always and forever.

Listen, you guys talk real big about the old ragged BB being a harridan, but if she approached you in her prime you would rescue a seal pup from the spear of a hungry Inuit family, no question. I would not want to mess with Chrissie Hynde, she looks tough.

I'm shocked to see this. I hope we get some information about what happened.
People are saying heart attack. This really sucks.
Yes, he had a heart attack. He had been down in Florida, I think taking care of his parents on some capacity.

Matt was a great guy and I really enjoyed the handful of hangs we got to have. Super shitty.

Get your ticker checked. If it runs in your family especially.

I know of two people in the last few years who avoided certain heart attacks and possible death by getting coronary calcium scans.

Both people had very high scores and subsequently had urgent quadruple bypasses.

Both seemed fit and totally healthy otherwise.

One of them was massively fit, ate great, ran and walked and played sports.
Her bro had a heart attack playing tennis at 50 (in front of an ambulance on break...so he made it).
Her sister kept riding her ass about getting checked out. "it's hereditary."
She went through a shitload of stress tests etc. and passed every one of them with flying colors, like "are you a retired athlete" colors.
Then the calcium scan...95% blockage in the largest artery. Due for a widowmaker heart attack within months.

Thank you Tim for this valued information

coronary calcium scans

That is job number one for me. I recently found a cardiologist and a vascular doctor for my mother. I am going to become a patient myself. Over the last 20 years, I could list over a dozen dudes I knew between their mid 30's to mid 50's and even FM Steve who succumbed to this exact manner of death. It doesn't make sense when it happens. It makes you go crazy with pain and sadness. But at some point, the truth lands like a fucking brick. I am monitored closely because I went through two cancer ordeals, and both my blood pressure and cholesterol levels are good. But I have realized that is not enough. It's time. Rest in Peace, Matthew. Fellow Texan and awesome bassist. I only got to see Bellini once, but I remember it like it was yesterday because they were so on point. We also shared August birthdays, and every year I could count on a Happy Birthday Leo Power post from Matthew.

Not to drag this out, but I remember the day we all learned Steve had died the night before. I stayed home from work that day because I was probably in shock. I spent the whole day on this forum and Facebook, reading the same things over and over and not wanting to believe it was true. At one point, some thread came on my feed with a comment that said, "Another victim of the jab." I responded with a 'Go fuck yourself' response that never received a reply, which was probably for the best. But it's still a good way to identify a shithead. Every heart attack these days is from "the jab." I'm almost glad those assholes are so eager to reveal themselves.

Sorry to ramble. Peace to Matthew Taylor.
