Re: RIP v2 - still no cure for death
1751Very sad news indeed. Only 26 and all. I knew he left the band forhealth reasons but I didn't think it'd end like this. Fuck mental illness and the lack of readily available treatment for it.
It was amusing, I’d say, early on. It wasn’t funny, but few comics are.cakes wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 10:40 am Scott Adams. Once created an innocuous comic, only to turn into a MAGA moron and podcaster. Last thing I heard him say a few months ago was that we need a benevolent dictator like a Trump as president.
Anyway, nice to know there's one less right wing podcaster amongst the living now. Was Dilbert even funny?
i would frame it differently.Wood Goblin wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 11:03 amIt was amusing, I’d say, early on. It wasn’t funny, but few comics are.cakes wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 10:40 am Scott Adams. He became a loathsome guy, but it went beyond MAGA.
He seemed to have well and truly lost his mind. According to his Wikipedia entry, he told his podcast listeners last year that ivermectin had failed to cure his cancer. Meaning that he’d tried it. I wonder if he’d eschewed other treatments in favor of woo and horse paste?
Well, still had cancer, but hey! No worms! You win some, you lose some.Krev wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 11:13 am It's hard to mourn someone who tries to cure his cancer with horse dewormer. I did like Dilbert as a kid.
Not sure I understand. According to Wikipedia (maybe not reliable!), he openly said it didn’t work. Or maybe you mean he would have endorsed it if he was recommending it to someone else who had cancer? Or he simply couldn’t get his hands on it for his own?hbiden@onlyfans.com wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 1:57 ami would frame it differently.Wood Goblin wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 11:03 amIt was amusing, I’d say, early on. The reason you know he tried it is because he DIDN’T endorse it.
Dude was fucking obliterated in record time. I’ll allow it.
Well, I mean there’s the whole “it’s a drug, it has side effects, and it can interfere with other treatments, and Twitter isn’t a legit source for telling me about any of that.”hbiden@onlyfans.com wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 3:19 pm I’m just asking you but mostly krev what’s wrong with trying it if you are openly honest when it doesn’t work?
