Within a day it can change + or - 30 degrees though, like this morning. No one knows how to dress so they just go worst-case.

Pff it was like 20-something. Same clothing required as 70.

Maybe. Probably. My original post was sort of an answer to what seemed like a question of how military brass and low brass are viewing the administration. Privately, as one may expect, it's not at all a favorable take by the significant majority. And many are preparing for early retirements and leaving a country they had originally enlisted to serve out of a sense of absolute betrayal not just by the current administration and cronies, but the people who voted them in in the first place. Regardless of how one feels about militarism, there are some good people there. Different lives and directions; still good.

If he wants to get his star he has to play politics. That’s true for any administration. They know that.
The stakes are higher now. You saw how hegseth threw admiral Bradley & admiral franchetti under the bus. At some point his morals will have to kick in and he’ll retire.
I’ll be curious what he will do if he makes general now.
