On paper I think they are basically Tortoise with Matt Lux, but why do I like them so much better than Tortoise? It’s not Doug McCombs because I prefer Brokeback to Tortoise as well.
Continuing on the Chicago musican flow, I feel similarly about Don Cab. I am the world’s biggest Storm & Stress fan but I can’t even remember the last time I listened to Don Caballero.

4739American Football. Literally passed me by until now. They popped up in an Apple playlist. Starting on the first 90s album. I’ll find out if they outstayed their welcome later.
