keegan monaghan, these are excellent points. Navy Pier is the worst. The architectural boat tour is not lame, it is rad. It is one of my favorite things to take out of town visitors on.

I really enjoyed the Lincoln Park Zoo both times I was in Chicago.

The primate center alone is worth it!

Think the city is big enough for just running around looking at buildings and the likes...

Gonna take the boat ride, although I also thought it sounded a bit "so and so"
Sears Tower is a must (I´d rather go to the Hancock Building)

It is always a fine time to see monkeys. And squeeze some sheep and feed goats. For free.

My parents were just in town and I will confirm with bumble that the architectural boat tour is cool. My father enjoyed yelling "Wacker!" after each mention by the guide. Please don't do that.

See music for sure. My parents saw Dianogah at the Hideout (and referred to them very favorably several times the next day as the "Dinny-goo-goos") and it was their favorite part of the trip cause people here are damn nice and my step-mom thought Al Stern was hot and the rock was brought very well that night.

Take trains. You kind of forget how cool and rumbly they are when you live here, but it's a definitive Chicago thing.

In addition to avoiding Navy Pier, stay away from Michigan Avenue. It's a goddamn mall jammed with slow-moving tourists and might make you sad.

*Walk everywhere you can.* The architecture here is fantastic and you will see things you just can't when driving, on the bus, etc.

Hole in the wall bars are everywhere and are wonderful.

Don't be shy.

Ghost or no ghost, The Green Mill is a neat little place with full-on 20's atmosphere and nice live jazz/swing depending on what night you go. Capone was a fixture there back in the dizay.

also, while you're @ Electrical, there's an excellent bar just up belmont within walking distance called the Hungry Brain. they host a jazz series every sunday night that's donation based and often good (two weeks ago was incredible-at least the first group was).

You shoold work when you are here. I have job for you. Clean bugs from light feextures. You can keep bugs. Bring your tools.



At the night, eat hami melon flavored soup and watch movie Air Bud.

I second (or third or fourth) the architectural boat tour. Was great. Watch out for Dave Matthews Shit though, sometimes it rains down from above.
