Steady rhythmic clapping in the audience at concerts

That is how the song on the record is. Don't know which record or track name, but I remember noticing it once. Then I saw them play a show and the audience imitated it. It wasn't as bad as you'd think, especially since the audience just started doing it. But why I am here defending it, I have no idea.

What I wanted to write about was my wife's idea for Clap Camp. We were at some show at Schuba's and the opening band had a keyboard player who's role was to lead a clap for the audience. So he would clap a simple 1, 2, 3, 4, but the dipshit couldn't stay in time. The audience seemed to be doing fine, but he just was in his own world of rhythm, and was totally off. We noticed it immediately, and watched him the rest of show. This happened on almost every song. He ended up screwing up the audiences claps almost every time. So my wife came up with the idea for Clap Camp, where the counselors help folks who would like to be participant clappers at upcoming concerts. They could come in and learn different beats, follow along with different instruments, and learn exercises to practice at home. I think it is a grand idea.
