One of the pins on the base of the footswitch (closest to the input jack) has an intermittent connection, if I put finger pressure on it, it works.
I'm gonna track down a replacement switch here and replace it myself, it looks generic and has "made in mexico" on it so I'm figuring I can find an equivalent.

Type "harmonic percolator" on youtube and you'll see a couple of cool clips. Also check out z. vex's fuzz factory. It's a pretty wild pedal.

I was about to say - is this not part and parcel of the pedal's attraction, that shrill extremity?
It might be a problem for what you want to do with it, but I have the feeling that this is something that is intrinsic to the pedal's effect.
<Waits for someone to jump down throat to correct any blatant misrepresentation.>

Most fuzz'z made before 1990 or so will "lose low end", be it TS-808's, the brown ROSS, Biggie Muff...Now the kids got the crazy Metal 7-String ADD bass if-you-want fuzz action.
My Chuck Collins pedal is being constructed RIGHT NOW, hurry up Chuck, I'm fittin' to put on a show the 29th....

Yup, I sold the last one I had for over $200 some time ago, I wonder what the next one on eBay will bring....?
I doubt the HP-1 value will ever reach Tychobrahe Octavia territory, but you never know.
