Seconded. Did anyone see that abortion of a movie "Slapstick of a Different Kind"? Jerry Lewis, Madelyn Kahn, Orson Welles (!), Marty Feldman...turned it into a space farce. Makes "Sergent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club BeeGee's Vehicle" look like "The Bicycle Thief. Disgusting.

Mine are Mother Night and Cats Cradle..... But I love them all... I will say Player Piano was a bit weird to go back and read... Its awesome but you can really tell how he matured as a writer after it....

Cats Cradle
Mother Night
Player Piano (Slaughter House Five close tie.)

In that order

Player Piano is a bit more clumsy but still a great book.

Although I love it, Breakfast of Champions is over rated.

This thread helping drive home I need to read Slaughterhouse Five... thank you.

(so far I only read Cat's Cradle and Player Piano - I liked both plenty, but EVERYONE seems to dis on Player Piano saying it is his least good... so if it is least, I am eager to see better!)
