Simmo, I did this using Garage Band.

Played the song from the four track, one track at a time, recording each one onto a seperate track on GB. I had some synchronisation probs on a couple of tunes but it worked ok for others.

I have decided to quit procrastinating and buy a digital 8 track today. I've been meaning to get one for months....

I'm on the "Ten Songs in Ten Years" program. Anyone game?

I did this last year and will this year, as LSD 25. I always have some ideas which seem like album ideas but I don't get arround to doing them. For years I have wanted to take the Jonestown death tape and reprocess and add some music to it. So that is what I did last year.

A few months I was offered to participate in a special Basel Art Fair Artist Music booth (not related to the RPG) I did some slight remixing and removed the song markers makeing it one 45 minute piece (I added the markers due to the rpg player and not wanting to have too long a piece). That was what I sent them as a solo project as well as one of the unrelieced Electrophilla/LSD 25 albums. I was very fortunate to have something lieing on the shelf.

I have always felt that Jonestown would make a wopping great Broadway Musical. But I have to work on my orchestration talents to get that togeather.

A lot of the fun was working within the time constraints I ended up using some odds and ends that went on that month like bits of a bass - drums jam.

I have a couple of ideas for this year I will get started at midnight. Like macjams people do some help for each other as well. There was a party in Bushwick I did not attend.

Maybe the board should do one.

I did the RPM last year. It's great for those of us who may procrastinate a bit. I've had this "band " for like tens years now where we'd just record what we thought were pop songs and keep 'em for ourselves. This at least got us to put them on the web. Oh and start to play shows every once in a while, 10 years, 10 shows!

Not to be h8in', but I think trying to do an EP in a weekend, or to do an album in a week off work would be a more intensely useful kick-out-the-creative-jams exercise. A month allows you too much time to get fed up with things.
