Discovering Fugazi was one of those seminal moments for me as a kid, and I still enjoy their records.
Goat just about slays any of their records, or really most rock records in general. True, it doesn't deviate a lot from the Jesus Lizard blueprint. But you don't think less of one of the best pizzas you've ever had in your life just because the toppings were cheese and pepperoni; it's all in the execution.

Fugazi really changed my perspective on a lot of things and their albums became more and more interesting.
TJL fell off pretty badly, especially after jumping to a major.

easy, the jesus lizard wins, cause they're one of the best bands ever. their live performances were so sweet. i don't like fugazi so much.

Fugazi never made an outright BAD album (not even a marginal album, at that), and Jesus Lizard made two marginal records (Shot and Blue).
Fugazi. By literally a hair.
This was the toughest one yet, though! Fuckin' a Marsupialized!

Jesus Lizard win this poll by virtue of the fact they are the greatest band of all time.
The first three LPs they put out slay anything and everything. Each component of the band is so good individually and as a totality. Each of these albums also gets better the more you listen to them. You notice something new on every listen.
I listened to Slave Ship on my iPod this morning and I'm pretty sure there is some weird ambient backdrop soundtrack to the main track that I have only just noticed?
