thanks for the tips... i seem to just be hovering around that coffee shop "the mill"?? i'm only here for tonight... i think we are headed over to spindle right now...
wanna come see iron & wine tonight?

So you're touring with Sam? Is that the deal? Someone just posted on a local message board that Sam was hanging out at The Mill. Must be a slow day here in Lincoln.

Yes. Lincoln is full of cows. We tip them.

Of course. Most cows need those tips to survive, as their wages tend to be low.

Is Recycled Sounds the one on O street w/ the owner dude who talks all the freaking time? I was in there browsing and he blathered at me for the entire time I was in the store riffing on the records as I would flip by them. I remember him telling me what a big deal R.E.M. were in the 80s as I got the to Rs along with various other nuggets about Throwing Muses, the Pixies & c.
Uh...thanks guy.

Yes, Recycled Sounds. That's Stuart. He will talk your ear off from the moment you walk in to the moment you flee running from the store. He's actually a very nice fellow who's done me many solids over the years, but he just happens to think of NOTHING besides music and it's implications and cultural impact on society, and on his life specifically. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but his execution if fucked.
A friend let me in on a little secret. Bring your kids. Stuart hates kids, or they freak him out or something. He will leave you alone. Good to know.
Rock on, Stuart.

So do that.
I would go see a Harold Pinter play set in a gyro shop.

That's what Milwaukee is like, except instead of movie theaters it's bars.

Lincoln is like that with bars, too.
Luckily.
