There are a few things that Britain is still doing right and money, both paper and coins, is one of them.
Could make the coins a just a little bit smaller than they currently are, though.

After using the Euro for a while, I completely agree with this. Although the 1c coin is perhaps a little too small.

Having the entire shield design on the £1...and a section of the shield on all the smaller denominations is pretty clever. Very graphic designerly.

I lived with the Euro for nearly 4 years, it is a bind to come back to the UK and have to use Queeny's money. We're supposed to be European goddammit. It is just easier.
We could have the same pretty pictures on Euro coins too.
