Slap a Mustang bridge piece on it. It improved my Jazzmaster ten
fold.

it came with a new bridge, but not a mustang, it's some other kind, and i can't remember what it is, but in just the last week or so, it's starting to act like the original jag/jazz bridges. i'm getting a mustang bridge to go in there when i get it set up.

Interesting company. Seems like it might be a better choice than buying a Tiesco/Harmony off of eBay, too. I'm curious to know how your transaction goes--the sight's a bit of a mess so it's hard to get a feel for the company. I've been looking to pick up something along the lines of what they offer so I'd at least like to know how things went.

I was totally skeptical when I was looking at the site. The website really is quite a mess, and they really dont have any sort of "this is what we do, this is what the options are" thing on there. The store is pretty off the wall too, but you totally get a feel for what they have going on. We'll see what happens! Even if the guitar is on par with other $400 guitars, I will still feel better about supporting a small us business instead of some korean/chinese guitar shaped toy factory. Ill post some pictures and stuff when she arrives.

The American-made Jazzmaster/Jaguar bridges sound and work better than the mustang bridges. The Mustang is an easy solution right-off-the-bat but with a little threadlock and a proper filing of the E and A saddles you'll get more sustain than the imported Mustang bridge.

Unless you can find a vintage Mustang bridge.

The reissue Mustang bridges are made of brass whereas the American originals are made of steel. Also the Mustang bridge saddles are not as wide as the originals so there is a bit of the saddles sliding and moving around which fucks with the performance too.

The Japanese Jags are great guitars with amazing necks... you just need to swap out the bridge, trem and pickups to make them problem free and sounding on par with their American equivalents.

I have a Warmoth-made Mustang bridge on my Jassmaster (AVRI) and it is the bees knees. I hated the original bridge that came with the guitar- it made the guitar sound way plinky, no sustain, strings popping out of the threads, etc..
