Looks like Chad, Greg, Andrew, Rob V., and I will be accompaning Steve this year. Unfortunately, John won't be there. He still has vertigo from Portland.

I'm really looking forward to it. I've never been to New Orleans. Is it just like the Girls Gone Wild videos? I really like TapeOp conferences because I get to do some of my favorite stuff all at the same time: travel to new places, eat at new restaurants, meet and make fun of people, and watch Steve get uncomfortable.

We will be paying tribute to the birthplace (kinda) of poker by playing as much as possible during the trip. "Oh, I missed your panel? Sorry I was down 30 big bets. You understand, don't you?"

Andrew, (Intern_8033) will be holding a panel on internships. Not to be missed.

Greg will probably do an encore (or at least try to one-up) his coffee-grounds-in-water-while-sleep-walking-in-his-boxer-shorts-through-the-hotel-lobby gag. You'll probably want find out which hotel we're staying in and set up camp in the lobby w/ plenty of trucker speed so you don't miss anything. Oh, bring your camera and extra memory sticks too. Better yet, your camcorder. Greg likes to flash his tits. A lot.

Chad will be looking for drinking partners, or, more likely, has 5 lined up already.

If someone would like to provide me w/ a list of the best vegetarian food, it would be much appreciated. And no, I don't eat seafood.

If anyone really wants to geek out, I'll be there w/ my mac and think it would be cool if we could either A) set up a Rendezvous/Bonjour chat or B) an IRC channel especially for the event so no one misses any highlights.

It's going to take a lot to improve on the Portland trip, so let's get crackin'!

Looking forward to it too. I've never been (to TapeOp or New Orleans), and it will be cool to put a face to some EA forum members.

Ah, you mean the picture that wouldn't die?

I'd like to know some good veggie restaurants there too. Anything to get me away from bar food, really :-)

Last time I was in New Orleans, I went with 3 friends who were vegetarians. They are crazy about this place:

Mona Lisa is italian, it seemed to be open pretty late and had the most fantastic vegetarian pizza. Plus the atmosphere was really gorgeous. Spend plenty of time having Bloody Mary's at the R Bar. If I remember correctly they had a good jukebox.

I hope I can go. I love New Orleans.

new orleans is so great and so much more fun when mardi gras is not going on. the last time i was there, about a year ago, i was in the hustler strip club and a waitress/stripper walks up to ask if i wanted a drink. i look up and it’s my ex-girlfriend from 4 or 5 years ago! crazy small world! anyhow, yeah, new orleans, good times. that harrah’s casino is a very easy place to end up at drunk at 3 in the morning. so is the hustler club!
