Coil.
I've been on a Coil kick the last few weeks. I'm familiar with their discography, but I've been listening to Black Antlers, Musick to Play in the Dark Vol. I and Moon's Milk (In Four Phases) the most this time. I'm bummed I wasn't old/hip enough to see them live. They left us with so much to listen to, though.

I enjoyed Love’s Secret Domain in the 90s, but the whole unapologetic child sex tourism kind of wrecks Coil for me.

Outside of the Halloween soundtrack, and adjacent soundtrack work by his kid, Cody, I'm not too familiar with Carpenter's ouevre. Coil gets the square. Singular band. Disquieting music.
