Back in the 90’s a friend/bandmate bought a modded bandmaster where the vibrato channel was super overdriven, and the vibrato effect bypassed somehow. He would A/B between the two channels with a super reverb always on as well. Old Morley ABY to run the whole deal.
That amp was wild - that overdriven side had a really cool gain/breakup to it that I’ve never really heard anywhere else. I wonder if he still has it…
Re: Dual Channel Amps
15I swear I thought the "middle" knob on the right actually said "nicole" in that photo for some reason and now I'm kinda disappointed that it doesn't
Re: Dual Channel Amps
16I think former FM sleepkid has one in his collection in Tokyo, I’ll see if I can persuade him to share
Re: Dual Channel Amps
17He might as well, but the one that was posted on the old forum by him was for sale. I dont remember the username of the person that bought it, but they had Sleepkid ship it to me for repair/cleanup, then it went to the FM that bought it.matttkkkk wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 8:33 am I think former FM sleepkid has one in his collection in Tokyo, I’ll see if I can persuade him to share

Re: Dual Channel Amps
18I've had an Engl Straight 100 for years. The clean channel is a Twin, and the other is JMP or Soldano-ish when boosted. They're rare as hell, though. I lucked into it locally at a cheap price.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.
Re: Dual Channel Amps
19I'm fascinated by the idea of these 3rd Power amps that have two circuits, a Vox and a Marshall that you can switch between or even blend. Seems dangerously ambitious, but I have a friend with one who says they're great. One of these days I l want to try it.
