12Love the emergency Nickelback video.
He’s king of the tangent. Sometimes they border on surreal.

13He's great. The stuff mocking Rick Beato is hilarious. I'm glad someone's doing what he's doing.
Re: YouTube Personality: Pat Finnerty
14Watched the Weezer one recently, and god damn was it funny. Not crap.
Re: YouTube Personality: Pat Finnerty
15I'm just watching this, but it's great. That final guy who covers his "Dead Man's Trail" song should probably audition for Soundgarden.joe_lmr wrote: Tue Jan 10, 2023 1:34 pmHis latest LIttle Stinker, which was supposed to be a short form version of WMTSS, is longer than that first episode of the latter, which are now pushing 45-50 minutes. Like all those Breadtubers whose video essays started out that long and are now hitting feature-length.Pnoom wrote: Wed Dec 21, 2022 3:56 am If we’ve got a Beato thread going we should have a Finnerty jawn.
I think What Makes This Song Stink is hilarious and is best watched from the beginning and in order as it has an overarching narrative and plenty of subtle call-backs that make for a very rewarding watch. He’s self aware and transparent about, you know, YouTubing - and he documents his journey into the YouTube personality hole. He clearly knows his theory as well (Beato!) and creates hilarious songs and mashups to prove just how much the songs he covers really stink. We’ve got such stinkers as Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down, Hey Soul Sister by Train, multiple Lenny Kravitz songs battling eachother, among many others. Plus he does a good job representing Philly. Check it out.

16Anyone else think Dead Man's Trail sounded like Barkmarket?

17Pretty funny when he's not trying to hard. His heart is definitely in the right place.
Re: YouTube Personality: Pat Finnerty
18His Jason Aldean video is great. When he talks about the four (!) songwriters discussing the merits of Puddle of Mud's first album, I started cracking up. That modern country shit really is a Puddle of Mud, Staind and 3 Doors Down shit sandwich. Those cowboys are more fraudulent than Reagan.

20I appreciate that he makes these videos, but am disheartened that these bullshit songs exist. Also, there's another "Drift Away" ripoff that managed to be shittier than Uncle fuckin' Cracker.
