"Yesterday around lunch time Doug Meis, the drummer for Exo and the Dials; John Glick, the guitarist for the Returnables; and Michael Dahlquist, the drummer for Silkworm all died in a car accident in Skokie. They were coming back to work from lunch and were hit by someone speeding while talking on a cell phone (which is now illegal in Chicago)."

This says all three were killed. This Chicago Tribune story says 4 injured, two killed...

For those unawares, Michael was one of ours. A completely kind, friendly and good natured man.

sorry I keep posting, I can't stop thinking about it, though.

I was afraid it was true. The blogger is an acquaintance of mine and I highly doubt that she would post such a thing without the proper fact checking.

This is very, very sad and I extend my condolences to all concerned.

Tim, Andy,

If there is anything I can do, whatever it might be, please let me know.

i just got a phone call from my mom about an hour ago, my dad works at shure and that's where he heard about it. i was told that all three of them were killed, i was also told that the woman was drunk and went through a stopsign at like 70mph. the names were left out of the tribune article because it was written before the families were notified.

tim, steve, and everybody that was super close with michael, i'm so sorry. everything i know about michael is that he was a truly great man. i'm so sorry.
