loving the new album. nice n sparse. tasteful songwriting. great performances.

Saw them the other night and it was superb. Better than all the previous times probably. The new material sounded absolutely huge and the rest of the set was really varied and full of nice little surprises. Kim and Kelly seemed to have plenty of fun and well, The Breeders are Not Fucking Crap. Game on.

The new album is great. "Bang On" and "Istanbul" are probably in my top ten Breeders songs.

Last time I went to see the Breeders, which was right after I saw that documentary, my girlfriend and I brought balls of wool with us for the Kelly. It was appreciated I think. Good to see she's still at it.

I saw them last week in Leeds, town of the (sort of) North. They were excellent there too.

Pod and Title TK rule hard.

Last Splash is really good.

4 or 5 listens and I cannot get into Mountain Battles at all.

I want to but I can't.

I am about to conclude that this is not a good record.

I completely agree with what TMidgett said in his quote.

The new album is all over the place, but it has some killer songs on it.

Anyone else hear a slight Blonde Redhead influence/mood in Night Of Joy?

(maybe it's just the singing, the chord progression, the guitar sound, the ethereal-ness, the key and the mood. Perhaps just a coincidence?)

And that song Walk it off hmm, Travis Bean bass through Ts50B maybe? Or a PBass?

Hey, anyone else guess which Dinosaur Jr. riff they lift on this album? It's pretty cool!
