Agreed on both counts. Very, the album in which you can find the cover of "Go West" is nearly as much as a perfect pop album as one can get. The "concept" if there really is one, is loosely based on the coming-out experience.

Judas Priest was mentioned previously in this thread. "Before The Dawn" off of Hell Bent For Leather is one sad fuck of a song. Very beautiful and very telling for that time period:
