Cubs do this all the time with Jason Marquis. Makes more sense in the NL because then you can reserve your bench for pinch-hitting and double switching and all that. You might ask: well what if he fucks up his leg on a slide or some such freak thing? The answer is: well, it's only Jason Marquis.
Hank Steinbrenner was screaming yesterday about how the NL should join the "modern age" and use a DH after Wang got hurt running the bases in an interleague game. Fucking baby.
