That guitar looks super cool. Do you ever mix both PUPs together or you always go neck!?

Which model is it? Classic vibe, Mascis? A lot of the recent ones have been great.
Judging by the sub par burst and multi piece body I'd say Classic Vibe? But the neck is v e r y dark so maybe an older version - Dunno!
Squier left, late 90s Japan Jazzblaster right... Weird or What.

Also, MDC I put this together last year in kind of the same spirit. 70s Greco neck and a Squier VM HH Jazzmaster body, aftermarket Chinese bridge + pickup and an AVRI neck pickup. I LOVE it, kind of the perfect guitar for me.
I'm not a maple neck fan (aesthetically) but that thing is serious.

That thing is very serious.
Here's a few more Jazzers, a master:

Thanks! I made it as a counterpart to my alltime favourite MIJ Squier from the same factory (on the left here):
And Lu, thanks also! I generally like neck and the AVRI is great, but the cheap-ass $25 Chinese bridge pickup is actually fantastic, and they blend really well. I was amazed at the quality, seems to use all traditional materials and has the right amount of spank and snarl. Got it off eBay.

This rips! I was initially looking for a black body to put the maple neck on so they would’ve truly been twins, but this gold one presented itself first.

That matches the "Gneco" tele custom I got from fm sleepkid years ago:

I love a vintage-tint maple neck on a black guitar. It's like blue jeans and a black t-shirt level of simple and effective. That is a beaut. I also love the look of a hybrid jazzmaster, and I think that one has the best pick guard shape ever. Bonus points to be able to use that beautiful tele bridge.

Cheers! I’m a huge fan of the Greco 70s stuff and collected a few of them back when they were cheap. Thought this would be fun. The pickguard was sheer luck - I bought a used Squier VM HH Jazzmaster because it had a string-through-body bridge and when I went to fit the Tele ashtray it occurred to me that I could just cut out a square from the existing pickguard to fit it. Routed a Jazzmaster pickup cutout (and into the body) in place of the other humbucker cutout, and the rest is stock.
