I found the band Sublime to be downright listenable under the influence of this drug. I'll say that again.

I found the band SUBLIME to be listenable.

It's a wonder I didn't go off the stuff immediately.

Its an essential stage of growing up.

That is stated way more strongly than I can agree with. There could be social aspects when shared that I am not privy to, but I cannot see how an altered mood is all that important.

Also, I blame the weed for the existence of jam bands.

I can't hate the stuff. Most drummers seem to need it, and I have a friend who is too freaking violent to be around when she is not regularly medicated with it.

man, the other day we were sitting around listening to records on 45rpm.

and "mistletoe" comes on, and we're giggling. and i'm all, "i can play this."

"that fast?"

"probably."

well it then devolved into a game of trying to stump my bassplaying by picking a song i knew that i couldn't do at 45rpm.

pain in the ass.

crap.

(i shouldn't have to mention the circumstances involved in the game.)
buy my guitar. now with pictures!

That sounds hilarious.

I lost the finest girlfriend of my teenage years by getting caught out with a couple of friends bonged out of our faces playing the Creeping Death 12" at 33. Lesson learnt: do not promise your fine girlfriend that you will not smoke any more pot, especially if you are nineteen.
