Different. Looking at the quote now. BIBS Mesh / Blow-in cellulose / Closed cell foam. Different R-Values for each thing. I still don't know a ton about the guts of why in this world, but 90% of my crew have worked with these people (RVI) directly and say they do excellent work, so I'm rolling with their best advices.biscuitdough wrote: Sun Jul 17, 2022 11:36 am Are you going to do spray insulation for the big house too? I hear it’s very intolerant of getting the slightest bit moist, unlike rock wool.

112Garage is all but finished! Plumbing and electrical soon. Keeping it simple. Main door is delayed 3 weeks because someone hosed up a panel. Regardless, it’s functional. Took a red window off the main house basement and used it on the side here. Interior is deeper red. Those are gonna look so amazing. Framing for the larger house begins next week LFG!!!!

Re: Bought some land / Building the Compound (in Wisconsin)
113Garage electrical done. Finally got some flood lighting as it’s well needed, and a little guy for the front porch! I’m all for keeping light pollution down out here but not to my own detriment as it’s absolutely pitch black at night and when the clowns with cotton candy cocoons and curly straws come, we gotta be ready. Plumbing and a heater next.

114Jesus. I wish the lighting in our garage was this great.

It's fookin' fantastic!

Garage is stained. Charcoal trim. SSE beeswax log oil. I’ll try to get the drone’s virgin flight out of the way in the coming weeks for some aerials. Window order got delivered. Exterior door is cracked so going back for re-framing. Rocky start in some aspects but we keep rolling. Beautiful day out here.
I am fucking exhausted this week after going ham at a bunch of shows in Chicago. Drinking a bunch water the next 48 hours, and rolling thru Milwaukee + Chicago once more for Compulsive Gambler's.
Almost time for Plumbing and Electrical

119Egads, man. Big time electrical work done. House is roughed in. Garage done. Panel with transfer switch by the small cabin for a generator that's coming in hopefully the middle of November (been waiting 5 months) - 3 seperate 14 foot old electrical posts put 4 feet into the ground. Outlets attached. 2x on each side of the small cabin and one by the dock. Stoked as all hell, as it opens up a whole new world out outside shenanigans. Onward!
