Ha ha! I'm afraid that I did not catch anything comparable. But the friends who I just left said that he brought up Soviet tanks at some point, which I found sort of amusing/a bit strong.

I know, I was hoping for a "wurst of both worlds" too.

I saw George Bush the Elder once. And the emperor of Japan. Both of 'em specks.

The only other brush with political greatness was Denis Healy giving me the princely sum of 20p. He was very polite to my mother and her mother as they waited by Downing St then the latter was visiting. Back in those crazy days when it was not gated and surrounded by men with guns.

Another note: I've just spent the last 12 hours between flats, an empty metal rock club, a squat and an outdoor pizza place. I ended the night with a sip of Jagermeister. I think that this qualifies as a decent night out.

Technically not Broad Ripple, but a mere 20 blocks away. Which is to say, much closer than fucking Plainfield.

I think the area is actually called "Butler-Tarkington" but on August 1 I'm considering myself a resident of Broad Ripple. Maybe "SoBro" as I've seen it designated.

Anyway, exciting!~@

I just watched un chien andalou and didn't get it.
Then I watched the commentary and he didn't explain anything just talked about how important the surrealists were.
I don't get this film.

Edit:
Now I feel better about not getting it.
In spite of varying interpretations made since the film originated, Buñuel made clear throughout his writings that, between Dalí and himself, the only rule for the writing of the script was that "no idea or image that might lend itself to a rational explanation of any kind would be accepted." Moreover, he stated that, "Nothing, in the film, symbolizes anything. The only method of investigation of the symbols would be, perhaps, psychoanalysis."

Salut!

Thank you! And thank your wife, who has given us even more reason to be excited. Which we need, with the prospect of packing up and moving inside the next 2 weeks looming right overhead.

I am going to nickname our place "the little house that could."

I got an oppurtunity to move from the dish station to the pantry. Read salad/dessert whore for two or more CIA grads. I start monday at 8am. I work brunch on Sund'y.

My back is sore and tight all the time. So I made an appointment to have that looked at. Can't wait.

Tonight--She and Him at the Troc. Hopefully.

I have some sort of eye infection, hurts like a bitch. No clue what it is. It's red and watering, feels like a piece of glass in my eye. No piece of glass can be located.

Also I have some kind of weird shit on one of my fingers, it's all blistered and bumpy on one of my knuckles and itches like crazy. Looks gross. I also have some kind of rash all over my stomach and armpits, itches like crazy.

Man, I went to bed feeling ok and I wake up a fucking leper.

I bet it's some shit I came in contact with at work. We send all kinds of hazardous shit.

I hope I die from it and family can make some money off it.
