These two bands, esp the Ex, certainly "bring it" live. U.S. Maple, though still good live, were near transcendent the two times I saw them around the release Acre Thrills.

I keep going back when I see a band that can play so that when you close your eyes you wouldn't know the difference between being there and listening to the recording. Of course that means Shellac, Neurosis, etc..............but the suprise show that comes to mind was Harvey Milk.
That live show almost had me in tears it was so good.
The cat with the toast, once it's free in the air, will float at its cat-toast equilibrium point, where butter repulsion forces and cat forces are in balance.

u.s. maple are broken up. but trust me, they fucking brought it.


since when? I spoke to Adam in nov and they were working on new record. I know al lives in Iowa now with a little baby and his lady, but they were still a band, as far as I could tell.
