I just debated this in my head. The compliment was public and about personal appearance. I thought, "perhaps a private comment would have been more acceptable." Then I realized that could be even more creepy.

However, a directly personal complement on personal appearance on a public forum where everyone can see, well, I don't know where that lies. If you posted a song, and I liked it, I might post a public comment to show support and maybe nfluence someone else to listen to your song. I can't see how that fits here, though.
