In those teenage years of mine where I first found a tribe and a music that was my own, this band was at the center. RIP.
Some people think the sound of rebellion is a Fender Tele or a Gibson Les Paul - I'd argue it's a Roland SH-101

I still fuck with these guys, too. Singular music. Kind of the best of a sub-genre to which only they belong.

I got to watch MAGA's shifting talking points about this assassination play out in real time with a family member who was glued to their cell phone this weekend as everything played out. It was someone who is beyond reasoning with, but it was still pretty horrifying.

I've seen my fair share of MAGA social media mental gymnastics as well. Most of it ends up doubling down on imagined conspiracy ties to the state DFL. Also, it is clear to see that not a single one of them understand how political appointments to state boards and committees work. The guy shot two other people as well (a State Senator and his wife), who both miraculously survived 8 and 9 rounds each.

Every time someone on their side does something heinous, the evolution of reaction is predictable. Everyone scrambles to explain it away, some people actually show a moral compass... then as the talking points solidify, no matter who said what, everyone starts saying the same talking about.

First, it was this guy was a democrat, so obviously this is the fault of the democrats and the party is falling apart. But, then he ended up not being that, so now it's that democrats deserve to die because they won't lie down and take it. Even US Senators are saying this. It's utterly disgusting. The Republican party is so far gone, they aren't even worth saving. They aren't even republicans, they are just the MAGA party. We shouldn't even call them republicans at this point, they don't even believe in a republic.
