A 4 piece 90s Yamaha Stage Custom popped up at the local guitar center. I checked in with FM Dontfeartheringo and confirmed it was worth checking out, and shot over after work. Sounded excellent in the store; I knew the kick would be cool, but I was surprised how good the snare was (still might replace that with an acrolite), told them to wrap it up.
Kick, two toms, a snare, and a heavy duty Yamaha cymbal stand w/ tom mount for $200.
Now to track down some cymbals and hardware.

152I got bored at work today and impulse bought a Golden Age R1 Ribbon mic. It's an Active ribbon. We'll see if it is any good. It's pretty cheap.

155In the past 5 months, I've purchased 5 b+k 4006s, 2 4006 TLs and 3 4003s. I've returned all but 3 4006s. Boy am i glad i made that purchase. So much better that what i was using for remote stuff, and they are a great alternative to my coke bottles when I'm in the studio.
2 beyer m88s
one of those 8-channel 1-rackspace ati preamps.
4 channels of great river preamps
Lynx aurora
Akg 422, Akg c34
2 RCA 77dx
That's probably 10k worth of stuff, but I get a lot of remote classical gigs, so I'm ok with it.
The thing that pisses me off is that I've lost so much weight in a year that I've had to buy a couple of sets of new nice clothes because these gigs require me to dress very nicely. I think I spent $75 on two dress masks.

I love you.

156A little music store a town over was selling a used 18" ground tom that matched the Yamaha Stage Customs I bought the other day. The kit I bought was missing the ground tom, so it really worked out. I ended up trading in a few pedals I was not using straight up for the drum. Super stoked to flesh out the kit already.

157Just picked up this discontinued EQD dual fuzz on Facebook Marketplace for about half the going rate:

158Original Fender Lead I in black with the original case for a couple hundred less than they're going for now.
I know these tend to be really divisive guitars amongst folks, but I've always admired how it was it's own weird thing. Plus, I can finally get my Mission of Burma cover band off the ground.

159Those are pretty great. I've played 3 of them owned by friends. Two were excellent (though one of these was a Lead II), and one was a dog (really bad frets/neck and finish).four_oclocker_2.2 wrote: Thu Nov 04, 2021 10:16 am Original Fender Lead I in black with the original case for a couple hundred less than they're going for now.
