I remember that night, maybe two nights, I spent at work giving maybe six to ten FMs smoking .gif avatars. Felt like I actually contributed something.El Protoolio wrote: Thu Jun 10, 2021 8:10 pm One of my favorite early memories was around 2004 or 2005 when a lot of us made our avatars gifs with smoking cigarettes, cigars, pipes, etc. It was just some weird group phenomena. Like a meme but before we called anything memes. It’s also not like a modern meme. But still like a meme.

Jesus, I would reread that one at least once a year just for the laugh.

154The one I think about most often is when Kerble went on a rant about how Achewood's creator Chris Onstad was offering free t-shirts with orders from his webstore but hadn't sent him one when he had bought something. Onstad was dealing with personal stuff at the time and going through his stoppy-starty phase with the comic; there was a debate about this and the need for compassion, about how he was clearly mentally suffering and how he'd already provided much free content for people; FM sparky ended a post with something along the lines of "He's provided so much free content. Onstad doesn't owe any of you anything!" to which kerble very quickly replied
Sparky just replied with something like "Oh yes, quite, indeed"Well he owes me a free t-shirt
