just turn it on, play a power chord and smile.

Ben

how do you compare it to a mxr distortion+ ?
i really like it, but sometimes i would like something that does just the same but a bit better (and with a bit of more gain) (and yes i remember your pot change to add some volume too)

The only distortion pedal worth buying these days is the Stanford and Sonny Blue Beard!!!

Best pedal I have ever bought. My friend Sonny makes them. They are copies of the big green USSR big muffs. They sound better than the originals. If you can, I recommend picking one of these up!

If McGarvey ever gives mine back, you can have it.

I'd jump on that like a pack of dingos on a toddler, believe me.

The last three or four times I've heard a really cool distortion sound at a concert and thought "What made that fantastic sound!" it turned out to just be a Rat with the volume cranked.

I have used rats alot and have tried the different kinds and think they all are about the same tone wise. I think they are kind of like a distortion + with more gain and the distortion seems more clear. It also gives a reasonable clean boost. Nice on Bass too due to the wide usable eq.

This bluebeard sounds neat.

that works great for the "big riff" part of my tunning but not so much for the "clank" part of my guitar playing...

Benny, what ever happened to the Univox bass (did it get fixed? Picture Please) and the reverb on the Twin. I need closure.

I think that the people using the Distortion + used the Dyna Comp for the chimey stuff and the two togeather for a "bigger" sound.
