I'll give you meat to try, John. 8)

What's wrong with someone who is a "Vegetarian" 75% of the time and has a bit of meat every once in a while. This persons diet is healthy, and he/she and doesn't look like a full of shit pretentious asshole always making way too big of a deal about their diet.

Guess what? I eat veg 95% of the time. Sometimes, like at a barbecue, I eat meat. What the fuck you gonna do now?

I guess let me first congratulate you on your choice. I agree with it and that's the kind of optimum healthy diet I was trying to suggest as possibly healthier than a 100% veggie diet.

So, since we see eye to eye, my next thought would be why have you been such a prick? I've been sympathetic to vegetarians since page 6 of this thread. My only RADICAL point was that a little meat might not be such a bad thing. Once in a while, please consider it as an option instead of eating the fake veggie meet options.

Shit after I made that point, all hell broke loose for a few of you. However, "you" specifically argued with me tooth and nail over two pages of this tread on how wrong I was.... Now, you come out and say, hey I like eating a little meat sometimes??? FUCK OFF. You understood my point and you even agree with it to some extent, "sometimes I eat BBQ." Yet, you nit-picked at my examples to get my post across, some which were admittedly in jest. Again, FUCK OFF

My point to you JGP is that your statements about what a committed vegan is are CRAP. You belittle the willpower of a dedicated vegan, you mock the efforts to wean from meat products to veg through meat substitute, you confuse dedication with mindless devotion, AND you think that a person has to ascribe to a belief to defend it. I am defending veganism because it is worthy of defense, NOT because I am a card-carrying member. What, do Christians have to convert to Judaism before they can oppose the Holocaust? Do I have to become Emo before stopping a jock from beating a scrawny kid in the street?

It is far more detatched and logical to defend something that is not ones' own. If I were a staunch Vegan, I would just seem defensive of myself. I am not, and thus it is not a personal arguement which I make. See the difference? The red blood cells are not boiling to my forehead because of this debate. Check your blood pressure JGP.

So you're saying that you have nothing to say? OK, agreed. You have nothing to say but quote a notorious EA prankster who really has nothing to say either.

My god! This topic was exhausted pages ago. Yes it's time for something more lighthearted. I understand your point and I'm glad you see mine. Your recent comparisons are no different than the ones I posted regarding why I believe what I believe. I have friends who are vegetarian. I'm not that hung up on this. I heard your side and you heard mine. We don't have to agree. FIN
