Ive used way fancier & much more expensive condenser mics but cant say any of them sounded so much better that I felt it was worth saving up my nickels. Probably dumb purchase as i am barely recording these days but flipping it for small profit should be easy enough if i can bring myself to do so.
I just had my KSM32 out and felt exactly the same way

My wife's been playing a lot more music and started a band (even though she's in denial of it) with a friend of ours. She recently asked me to put together some kind of pedal board. Based on her description, I gave her a spring reverb, a TC Electronic 5th Dimension (which is her favorite--totally called it), a vibrato, a soft clipper overdrive and a screamer. However, I think she would really like a delay and she said something about wanting a looper, which astonished me because she had said multiple times that she doesn't want anything complicated. I mean, looper pedals are the most fucking complicated things ever. Anyway, I picked up a TC Electronic Flashback, which is a solid delay pedal, but also has a loop function that she can play with. I was going to pick up a ditto, but I wonder if the loop on the flashback will be enough for her.

Anyway, I'm totally excited for her, and even she is, even though she won't admit it for some reason. She's been writing some cool songs lately and she's got a really amazing voice. Her real talent is singing.

I really like ksm32s. be careful. there are a lot of fake Shure mics on eBay.
Took me long enough to test it but yeah we're good. Sounds exactly like my 25-30 year old one. Really feels like I got away with something here.

I wonder if these are too much a pain in the ass to fake since they have a unique body shape?

I have 100% seen fakes. I've seen them on Temu/aliExpress right next to the fake Neumann tlm103's China is getting good at it. For Shure I've seen a ton of fake 57/8's, KSM32's, Beta52 and Beta91's. Up close it is probably easy to tell a real one but the scams are out there. Glad yours is the real deal. I really like those mics.

I want to say if Shure is reading this: Charging $70-80 dollars for your standard non-shock/suspension microphone mount is fucking offensive. I have a 3d printer that was gifted to me that I have been too frightened to try to learn how to use that I'm going to break out JUST for this because I'm that angry. I found a few 3d printed specialty mic stands on etsy such as one for a 421 that worked really well so far.

I'll add this, overall the music industry absolutely loves screwing their customers with add-ons that are specialty proprietary items such as specific rack-ears, expansion cards, mic clips, etc. Fuck all y'all.

I used the flashback as a looper for ages. Its great. Really simple and intuitive. I replaced it with TCs double looper. Its nice having two separate loops that can be in synch but the layout and operation on the Flashback is better, simpler and easier to use on the fly.

Frickin A again. Looking at you RE20 Clip/mount or 421! KSM32's suppository shape makes it not work with the cheapo Amazon shock mounts too.
This reminds me, if you have a 421 you can put a little zip tie through the gap in the clip and mic and it cannot release from the mic sending the mic to the floor every time you need to move it.
