Not true. The Ridiculous Trio: Plays the Stooges is often glorious (trombone, tuba, and drums)...and a free download. You owe it to yourself.

Nirvana.
What is this nonsense?

This is a terribly mean spirited parody by someone who obviously hates Nirvana entirely. But it was very funny.

= Justin

i listened to about 10seconds of the "down on the street" cover and decided that was enough.

edit: listened some more. still crap. if you don't like my opinion put up a crap/not crap and weigh mine against the outcome.

there are better ways to pay tribute. namely not covering them and just letting their influence work the magic.

i've already filed it under: pointless.

U2's cover of Helter Skelter makes me want to cover that song just so I can say, "this is a song U2 stole from Charles Manson, I'm stealing it back..."

Off the track just a little, though I love Cheap Trick, and don't exactly think their version is shit, the first time I'd heard the original version of Terry Reid's 'Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace' my first thought was,"wow, this really makes Cheap Trick's version seem kinda pointless."

Covers..bah! Why not just appropriate the riffs and recycle them as your own? There's only twelve notes, anyway, so fuggit...
