I don't know how good they are (they might be great) without a template, but if you have a correctly fitting pickguard that you want with/without it's various holes then you simply tape 'em up/mark them out and send the existing pickguard as a template. Takes about a week.

I think they'll also work from paper templates. They do fancy metal ones and weird lighting stuff too.

Thanks, I need to replace the cardboard guard on my guitar, just need to decide between getting a plastic one cut or buying a sheet of brass and having a go at cutting it myself...
