that's not really the cover is it?

corgan is insufferable. they haven't made a good record since pisces iscariot and they didn't even intend for that to be. i do like siamese dream and pisces and that's it.

any of you who say gish is actually good need your fucking heads examined: that album sucks. :P

I dunno, he just said "we probably should have" when i interviewed him. It was in the response to my "why did you guys break up?" question, and it sounded like the song came out right around when they were getting a little tired of being in the band. They were on Futurist and that label was starting to concentrate on re-hashed hair metal, their bassist had just quit, and then "1979" came out, so i think they just said "fuck it."

Actually, the Smashing Pumpkins discovered grunge some time around 1990 or so.

Prior to that, they had even less balls. They played whiny wimp-rock along the lines of The Smiths, The Cure or early stuff by The Church.
