I should google before asking such things. Apparently he voluntarily lived in his van between tours in order to write his last album.

I miss them as well. I was lucky enough to catch them at the Metro when "White Trash Heroes" came out. It's still one of the best shows I have ever seen.

I would buy them drinks. Bassist was a TB2000 player in the later days, I believe.

Yes, Matt did play a TB2000, and still does. It's seen some heavy use. Fralin had to rewind the pickups because years of abuse and sweat fried them.

I don't think he sounds like Craig Finn at all. I'd say thats lazy blog writing and a knowledge of music that doesn't extend past the last three years.

I listened to the Meneguar songs this morning. And yeah, nothing like Craig Finn.

If you were talking about someone doing this today it would make sense. No one is. What is wrong with remembering the past. I don't think you understand what you just said at all. That quote would only be relevant if there was a band that is to Archers of Loaf that is what Wolfmother is to Black Sabbath.

i know what i said. i just didn't say it very well, and dollars to donuts says there are a handful of bands you never heard trying their damnedest to channel this band. and that is stupid and pointless.

remembering the past takes up space. look to the future.

Sure, I miss them tons too, luckily Eric B has been steadily releasing great material with Crooked Fingers as well as solo. He also had much influence on one of my favorite records of last year; Micah P Hinson & The Opera Circuit.

I loved both bands and saw them every chance I could. LFTR PLLR, in my opinion, sounded a lot like Archers of Loaf. At times. Their first record and the Entertainment and Arts ep, especially. I don't consider this a bad thing. LFTR PLLR were original enough, but there are undeniable similarities.
