Did you ever hear 'the story' about that?

I trust you did?

Jesus fucking Christ, under absolutely no circumstances would I recommend recording there.

That is one studio story that I should not, cannot and will not share here.

Ooh, you tease.

There's me looking a twat! on this thread

http://www.collective-zine.co.uk/cboard ... p?id=20834

said studio is recommended and I remember that being where you recorded hopper? The tale of this place must have been bad, as I don't remember it popping up amidst tales of recording woe (which I seem to remember were relatively common)......

Yes, that's where we recorded it. Horrific from start to finish.

The record label booked us in without any discussion, and the process and outcome were dreadful.

The label hated it so much that the press release read something like 'more tedious than paint drying, avoid' and wouldn't speak to us again.

But that part of the story is nothing when compared to the genuinely horrific, non-recording-related bits. I don't imagine that anybody involved in that session gets through a week or two without a brief flash-back to the (yes, rape-related) horror of that weekend.

Bad mojo.

Jesus Christ. That sounds like a very, very, very bad recording session. I don't know quite what to say.

No, I didn't. They 'signed' at the same time as us, but I think the only time we were due to play with them, they cancelled. They were sort of comedy metal/grindcore weren't they?

Nah, well a bit maybe, they were like early Butthole surfers, lots of yelling and pitchshifting on everything.. They used to get lots of good supports at TJ's, I don't remember any other good "local" bands around then, plenty in bristol probably but that always seemed a long way to go!
