Unfortunately Gillard suffers because he was there for the Creation/Interscope releases.

Sprout also always offered a contrast to Pollard which I liked. Gillard kind of re-inforced the Pollard-ness.

"I Am A Tree" is a very strong single but the rest of Gillard's stuff blows.

I'd take "You Are Not An Airplane" over the lot of it.

Tobin Sprout proved himself pretty irreplaceable in his leaving the band.
