28I don't roll with expensive lodging. I'll be in San Diego for a conference Oct 25-28, and I have a reservation at the nearby youth hostel -- like a sane person. I AM paying for the private room, which in my earlier days was unthinkable if I was solo.
Anyone know what to do in San Diego? I usually skip everything at this conference...if I'm not presenting, that is. Shit.
B&Bs...I remember going on a trip to Maine with the ex-fiance (yeesh) 11 years ago and he booked B&Bs the whole fucking way. I was always seated with the fucking dorkiest British twins who fought like bastards over breakfast while the now-ex slept in until 2 pm upstairs. Fuck that.
